Choose a class and press Pick someone. The picker runs through names and lands on one, and it will not pick the same pupil again until the rest of the class has had a turn, so the quiet ones get asked and the keen ones cannot volunteer their way round it. It uses the class lists you already typed for the seating plan; add a class in the Classes tab if you have not.
