NI Teacher Jobs

Privacy Policy

NI Teacher Jobs collects teaching vacancies from the places Northern Ireland schools advertise and lists them in one place. This page explains what personal information the site holds, why, and what your rights are. It was last updated on 1 September 2026.

Who we are

NI Teacher Jobs is the data controller for the information described on this page. You can reach us at hello@niteacherjobs.com for anything on this page, including questions, corrections, and requests about your data.

What we collect, and why

Email alerts. If you sign up for the weekly email, we store your email address and the subjects and areas you chose. We use them for exactly one thing: sending you the Thursday bulletin of matching vacancies. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, and unsubscribing deletes your details from the list.

We do not sell or share the list. Your email address is never sold, rented, swapped or passed to anyone else. If the site ever carries a sponsor, the sponsor gets a mention in the email; they never get the list. We also never discuss who is on it. No school, employer, recruiter or anyone else is ever told whether a particular person has signed up, and we do not use the list to work out who might be looking for a job.

The school suggestion box. If you tell us about a school we are missing, we store what you typed so we can act on it. Please don’t include personal information in the suggestion; we only need the school’s name.

Visits to the site. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running, and we use WordPress’s Jetpack service for simple, aggregated visit counts. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Job listings. The vacancies on this site are public adverts placed by schools and recruitment portals. Where a listing includes a school contact address, that information was already published by the school in its own advert.

How long we keep things

Email alert details are kept until you unsubscribe. Suggestions are kept until they have been dealt with. Hosting logs are kept for the short rolling period our hosting provider uses, then deleted automatically.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@niteacherjobs.com and we will sort it out. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change how the site handles personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
